Symptoms Checklist

I feel overwhelmed and exhausted from the piles of work on my desk.

I often feel that I am “spinning my wheels”.

More and more work is piling up, even though I already feel overloaded.

When I talk to my manager about my workload, he/she suggests I should delegate more.

I have trouble finding time to train or mentor my people.

I worry about giving more responsibility to my direct reports because I'm not sure they’ll handle it correctly.

I find myself thinking, “It’s easier to do it myself”.

I'm told that I am working too hard.

I'm told that I am too often unavailable by my direct reports, peers, and significant others.

I often overlook acknowledging or celebrating successes.

People close to me have expressed concern for my health and well-being.

The people who should attend this training are the ones who think they don’t need it. That was me. I thought I was a good delegator but I learned so much. This is about so much more than just delegation!
